I finally got around to thinking about this issue a lot, and came up with a plan that I don't completely detest, like most of them. This one, however, requires quite a bit of work (workspaces in their present form will be gone), so I thought I'd still ask how people think this should work. How should transients, queries and menus opened in too small frames be handled? How important is the functionality offered by detach.lua? Could it be improved? Other thoughts and features requests that might affect this decision?
