The currently planned major changes to Ion3 include:
* Support for a dock that properly adjust to space available on
(tiled) workspaces.
* A new auto-tiling workspace module.
* Session management support module (decent support requires quite
a few changes in the rest of Ion as well in the form of what I call
"placeholders").
* Xrandr (resize and rotate extension) support.
* Some more simplifications in exported function set, if possible.
* Maybe some changes to drawing engine usage and configuration
(more flexible attribute sets, separate colour group/substyle
configuration from border/major style configuration)
