I'm not sure if other people feel the same way; but for me, once I'd "deprogrammed" myself from the Windows way, I found myself much more productive. Now, I always know that I've got an editor in the largest frame of the first workspace, web stuff goes into the second. I can immediately flick to the correct place without having to search around for where I last happened to leave it. Whenever I use the more traditional window managers now, I find myself getting exasperated incredibly quickly about how everything gets into a mess.
That's just my personal experience though, I expect everyones experiences to be pretty different. I am pretty glad that there aren't too many Windows like features, otherwise I would never learn that there is a better (or even different) way to do things. Have fun, Sam
