   The iPhone 4 uses a micro SIM . . .a regular SIM won't fit in it;
   if it's a micro then I have no idea if it will work or not. You
   could just get the international plan for when you're overseas
   . . .you can turn it on and off at will without affecting your
   contract.

As far as I know, the US is on a different frequency band from the
rest of the world.  Thus, a US model won't work overseas.
