Not true , mp3's play perfectly, on some you may have to manipulate
the type but they play well. As for playlist , we gave up on the
iphone detecting the end of the song, we are trying to implement
something with web based playlist something like qtss does. You will
need to use a suitable media server though, I would suggest
eyeconnect, but we've had good luck with twonkyvision, which seems  to
be the best for video.

Tversity is kind of mixed, it insists on reencoding everything, making
you wait until the file downloads.
