> just look at the amount of lawsuits against MS from all around the > world, which tells its own tale. My state sued Microsoft just like the rest of them. I opted out of the class-action lawsuit. Microsoft's attorneys called and asked if I'd testify. I met with them by phone a couple times and in person once to go over my testimony. Before the case went to court Microsoft settled. The attorney who sued them (Roxanne Conlin) is a well-known ambulance chaser. Her motivation wasn't to make things right for the people of our state by forcing an out-of-control monopolist to come to terms with their misdeeds, but rather it was so she and her firm could collect one-third of the 120 million dollar settlement. The evidence was all in Microsoft's favor. None of what the state was claiming was true. However, it got to the point where it was cheaper for Microsoft to settle than it would've been to go to trial so we never got to make our case. One of the problems that comes with being successful is that everyone thinks they have to take you down a notch in order to feel better about themselves. It doesn't surprise me that some European court ruled against them. It's a classic case of class envy. The little guys rise up against their wealthy oppressors little knowing that it's those wealthy oppressors who make it possible for them to earn a living. It's not Microsoft's fault that the Web designers at the sites you visit don't know how to make a Web page that works with your browser. Anyway... had to get that all off my chest in response to an unnecessary attack on Microsoft. We now return you to your discussion of the upcoming SDK.
