I suggest you run your code through a lint program (say JSLint), there
are many undeclared variables and missing semi-colons.
Where you have expressions like:
if (element.checked == true ... )
you can leave out the comparision, it does nothing useful:
if (element.checked ... )
Where you have:
option = inputs[a].getElementsByTagName("option");
you can save a function call by using:
option = inputs[a].options;
It would be nice to include a formatted version of the script source
with comments.
