Cool site, uses the word stable a bit too much misleading in some ways. But reading through the comments from the developer it does state issues, attempted fixes and misgivings on not having time to complete features.
I guess in a perfect world there would be something like a super lint program that us open source developers could run our code against, maybe an expert system that produced a report of what needed to change. But its not a perfect world and even with a zero defect policy some of our prod apps get into QA with a lot of defects. The software is gpl and free. I don't ussually tonguelass unless I have to pay for the software and there to I tend not to be to critical if there is a genunine effort to fix the issue. You probably never dealth with microsoft if you haven't experienced this. Maybe its the Mom in me, I never critisized my child when she was in highschool if she made an honest effort. And I was rewarded by the fact that even now in college she is not afraid to come to me with any problem no matter how serious it might be.
