javaScript from remote locations is the

That is not what I stated , nor is what is happening. Running
javascript from remote locations is fine but phonegap has support for
javascript calling native api.

1) executing javascript from a remote location like a webpage should
be fine.
2) executing javascript that loads on the device and executes an api
method is forbidden, with the exception of those officially supported
by the api.

I can see were allowing a remote site to execute an api on the phone
would indeed be troubling, I think Apple is trying to avoid the mess
that microsoft had with first gen active X controls.
