Did some checking, I think YOU CAN store audio as a persistant type , of course all this is only going to work for the iphone, pre and may Android.
So to some up Use video tags and stream from your website if you have video. Use persistant storage to store large text blocks and audio, alternately include audio tags and stream audio from your server. Alternatively store text using sql/lit database.
