Run tcpdump from another system. You have arp generation turned on so
you should see arps from the IP you configured.
I recently came across a config issue similar to this where everything seemed to be setup correctly, and it was even sending ARPs but it still was not answering. What finally kicked it to working was setting the IP address to 0.0.0.0 and then back to the desired value. The firmware on many BMCs is really touchy when it comes to LAN settings, and this is especially true of the BMC on the Sun Fire V60x.
If you don't see arps then I give up. Otherwise it's probably a user
account settings or something.
This is possible too, the "lan set <ch> user" and "lan set <ch> access on" will try to reconfigure these settings to sane defaults, it might be worth a try to do this again.
