Hi John, Thanks very much for being so helpful with the coordination of the 1.8.9 roll. IMHO, you've had your patch posted for several days now and I haven't seen anyone (else) raise any concerns or objections to it. I just have general concerns about making any code changes at all now that the cvs tree has been regression tested but nothing specific about the big endian patch. Unless someone else voices a concern, I think you should go for it. :-) Can you please let us know when you've completed regression testing the big-endian stuff in cvs? I think we can ask Petter to roll the version then.
