Make sure you're running the newest IPMI firmware on the Supermicro BMC. If Supermicro releases software for these new SIM-style BMCs is anything like their legacy AOC BMCs, you need to run the beta firmware which is usually stable. Also note that the version number for the code is meaningless for their "betas". You need to track the date of the file to understand if there is a change and they don't post a changelog from one file to the next.
Btw.. to confirm this ISN'T a ipmitool issue, install and run Supermicro's IPMIView from an external machine and see if these #s show up there. --David > The two system have entirely different IPMI BMCs on the board. > They each have their own IPMI firmware on the BMC. > Also, the FRU & SDR records applied would vary by vendor. > > You can see the BMC vendor & product IDs from GetDeviceID ('ipmitool mc > info' or 'ipmiutil health'). > > Andy > > -----Original Message----- > From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of > sanjay verma > Sent: Wednesday, October 17, 2007 7:25 AM > To: ipmitool-devel@lists.sourceforge.net > Subject: [Ipmitool-devel] Supermicro X7DBE does not show memory sensors! > > Regards, > > We have a Supermicro X7DBE motherboard as well as an > Intel S5000PSL motherboard.
