This is basicly what our stack does. It is perfectly happy with
multiple autoconfigured interfaces. It currently (probably a bit
dubiously) uses the interface "speed metrich" as weight when picking
from multiple reachable default routers.

And, wouldn't implementing ideas from

  draft-draves-ipngwg-router-selection-01.txt        

bring some light into the issue?
