I'm not followed the whole chain of the flow label discussion, but I was
curious enough to ask what are the reasons why we doesn't use the flow label
just for identification of different flows. We could calculate e.g. a hash
value from the IP addresses, port numbers and protocol number at the client
side and then put that value in the flow label field. That value could be
efficiently used by the network or the receiver to different flow
identification purposes even with ESP headers.
