This is a surprisingly quiet mailing list, with months between messages. I've
never had a fix from a message I posted on 23 July 2004:

I'm using IM version 1.0.4.29 [2003.12.15] and I have an unexpected
bahavior with Windows Millennium computers. (XP/98 computers are okay.)
After installing IM clients I found that a new but empty folder is being
created in C:\Windows\Temp while logging on or after a reboot. My guess
is that the IM client is creating them for something, but then failing
to remove them afterwards. The folder name always begins with "TMP_"
followed by 32 random hexadecimal characters.

Unless a more recent build fixed this issue, I guess the answer is not to use
WinMe computers with IIM. (Hey, Microsoft doesn't want WinMe in a network
environment anyway, right? And I don't think WinMe is one of the OS
environments IIM was designed for either.) Sometimes I've found nearly 600
empty directories in there. In the meantime until all the WinMe computers are
phased out, I run this batch command pertiodically:

DELTREE /Y C:\Windows\Temp\TMP_*

Hi Barry,

The list is still alive, but I think many users have started using the
online forums, http://www.ipswitch.com/forums/messages.aspx?ForumID=11
