*** I would guess more than half. But what may be critical here is how many of them will suffer sufficient harm to force them off. Some significant number of those stations are well away from any major markets and/or powerful stations near their frequency. In considering how many will be unable to implement IBOC, we have to remember that that's a lot of stations who won't be tossing hissy fits at their adjacent channel neighbors. Only a small but loud faction ever really wanted AM IBOC in the first place, so it could very well turn out that AM IBOC may have been viewed all along by many in the IBOC camp as a throw-away - agreed to to obtain the support of another group of owners with the realization that there was a strong probability it wouldn't stick over the long haul... We'll see.
