Dennis, Back around 1979-80 when the solar cycle was peaked, Pacific Island stations would be heard inland often. Back in the older DXWW-West & IRCA Foreign logs, you would see fair number of reports inland. By early reports on this next solar cycle, this may be a big one again, so those Pacific stations may propagate inland better once again by 2010-2012.
