The big problem here is that trying to predict something like that
using 30-year-old receptions as a basis doesn't account for the other
dramatic changes which affect what we hear such as increased electrical
noise, more stations on with more power more of the time, etc. While
there may be some receptions like that in this cycle, there almost
surely won't be as many.

1969-71 were some pretty good EC TA DX years, but we'll never see that
again because of increased use of PSSA's, PSRA's, many more stations
with nighttime operations using them, and of course with TA's there are
a number of TA DX targets which have left MW entirely in that time.

I'm very happy to have been able to experience those years and have had

the kind of time to DX that I had then.
