Dennis, I don't remember the LAPD one, but I did get a lot of coast to coast TIS stations. Some that come to mind Pennsylvania HAR in Allentown on 1630, JFK 1700, VA on 1620, etc. Those were great times. Back in the great DU days, I used to get Hawaii by 8 or 9 PM (PT), around LSS in Hawaii. Taihiti 738 about the same time. Then NZers would start showing up by 11-12, then by 1 or 2 AM, the Aussies. I would stay up most of the night DXing. Get by with 4 or 5 hours sleep night after night. I was between 30-40 in those days too. Tougher to do today, but I still go at it when CX are decent.
