Well, can someone explain exactly what S9+55db is to someone clueless like me? I simply know thats a STRONG signal, but thats all I know.
However, in the realm of propigation and AM radio, I like to remember "anything is possible". I once heard a station on 1590khz about 300 miles away and verified they were running 67 watts! Unless you can absolutely prove it, I wouldn't call a station out on cheating... accusations like that don't help a DX'ers reputation. Sure, sometimes we have mentioned a station on here to be cheating.. but thats when there's no mistaking it, like the station is very clearly operation Non directional when it should be very drirecitonal... or it's operating in the multiple thousand sof watts when it should be in the single digits. I simply don't think we can rule out KXMG 1150 cheating, 5 mile reception, simply, is not unheard of.
