I wish I would have had the Eastern beverage around 1970. It would have
been a lot of fun. I knew little about antennas in those days. It is the
old adage "If I knew then what I know now", plus had the room for a
beverage, which didn't at the time. I did had a 600 foot longwire
running N/S, but it was not feed by coax, so it was not too directional.
I had more powerline noise in those days too.
