I apologize for saying I was sure it was WJMC. I didn't mention it, but it seemed there was a tiny fraction of a second delay between WJM & the C, & now notice very indistinct short noise (letter??) that I was "sure" was a C. What's before sounds like WJNE on that one & WJNE on the 2 others as well. WJNE is an FM station in Bethany Beach, DE, that has primary coverage to MD. Think I saw the biggest town nearby is Salisbury?
If we can find out if WJNE-FM Bethany Beach, DE owns anything on 1240, we may solve this. Dual ownership could be anywhere, & they may also have a different format. Also, syndicated programs might mention affiliates. Worse yet, what if it's not call letters, but an abbreviation for some organization? Had to toss a 1340 that gave a partial KY phone number because two stations were mixing and one was an Indiana relog (Elkhart, which IDs as 95.3 MNC) - it was pretty well impossible to tell which was which. Sometimes it's better to toss when it becomes obvious it'd be a crapshoot and guess to log. So a big thank you to those who listened and commented. Greatly appreciated!!!
