This is an interesting suggestion from Earl, and it allows me to mention a
fairly new FM resoure available online.
I've decided to call the unID as WJIM, which essentially means deleting it as
WJIM is a common log here.
But I was able to seaerch on WJM and WJN via the WTFDA's FM station database,
which is online at http://db.wtfda.org .
It yielded many possibilities that would be worth checking out if I didn't feel
this one is indeed WJIM and such searches would inevitably lead to a dead end
or to a logging with too much guesstimation for my comfort level.
Interestingly, WJMC WI 1240 has an FM, also WJMC, on 96.1 (not .3).
But I'm closing my book on this one. You and countless others have helped
immeasurably and I'm calling it as WJIM.
All your help is appreciated!

Subject: Re: [NRC-AM] 1240 unID - WJMA/WJNA now heard three times!

Does anyone else here ".3 WJNA" near the beginning of the clip WJNA-huh? It
might refer to an FM, as in "92.3 WJNA" or somesuch. Seems like we need to do a
search on all FM stations on a frequency ending in .3 with a "WJ" at the start
of their callsign. Then see if any of them have any reason to simulcast on
1240.

I apologize for saying I was sure it was WJMC. I didn't mention it, but it
seemed there was a tiny fraction of a second delay between WJM & the C, & now
notice very indistinct short noise (letter??) that I was "sure" was a C. What's
before sounds like WJNE on that one & WJNE on the 2 others as well. WJNE is an
FM station in Bethany Beach, DE, that has primary coverage to MD. Think I saw
the biggest town nearby is Salisbury?

If we can find out if WJNE-FM Bethany Beach, DE owns anything on 1240, we may
solve this. Dual ownership could be anywhere, & they may also have a different
format. Also, syndicated programs might mention affiliates. Worse yet, what if
it's not call letters, but an abbreviation for some organization? So maybe
contacting WJNE-FM & asking if they own anything on 1240 would be the last good
chance. 73, George S., MN

Thank you, to the many of you, who listened and have pointed me to WJIM in
Lansing MI. I can now hear it the final clip, and somewhat in the other one
from the 16th. I'm still thinking the one from the 5th could ever so slightly
be be WJMC, but because I've had that one before, and I have also had WJIM
often enough, I will let this trio go its merry way. I'm glad to have this one
solved. I'm still going through multiple unIDs from earlier this month up here.
Plus a few unattended graveyard recordings. Had to toss a 1340 that gave a
partial KY phone number because two stations were mixing and one was an Indiana
relog (Elkhart, which IDs as 95.3 MNC) - it was pretty well impossible to tell
which was which. Sometimes it's better to toss when it becomes obvious it'd be
a crapshoot and guess to log.

So a big thank you to those who listened and commented. Greatly appreciated!!!
