<<<    I have a helluva lot more than a 380 hidden away Rob….I even have a Sony

But it is only on the presses that I am currently listening to BOG-340 -1027 in
Columbia. But I do love the Ulr’s. Could not resist the CCrane Skywave after
Gary’s comments, and it performs very well….Janet and I will be in NZ for 4
months this time next year. I wonder what I will take with me ...

Thanks for your comments, Tony.

One of my biggest Ultralight radio thrills ever was receiving "your" 238 KT
beacon (from Kaitaia, New Zealand. 1100 watts at 6,723 miles) with a humble
PL-380 Ultralight and 8" diameter FSL antenna at the Rockwork 4 ocean cliff in
Oregon in 2012. I was so happy that I almost jumped off the 400 foot cliff into
the Pacific for joy. Good thing that I didn't, though-- 260 NF on Australia's
Norfolk Island (500 watts at 6690 miles) showed up a few minutes later.

I hope that you and Janet will have fun on the 4 month trip to NZ next year!

73, Gary
