 Thieves will steal anything, that's that but who throws out a piste?   To any 
workmen that would not look like something used for sport. It is/was pieces of 
metal which could be mistaken for being part of something that was being 
constructed in the building. I would not dismiss the intinerant theory so 
easily, I live around here and there are alot of them about. The piste would 
have been useful to them. As for UCD security its a joke, it would take 20-30 
minutes to move those things from a skip to a van, I doubt very much that UCD 
security ever checks around behind the sports centre. Its a big campus to 
patrol so they can't be everywhere.   It is also possible that the Sports 
office are trying to cover their asses but I am not sure if they would be 
liable anyway. I think anything left in the building is at the owners risk and 
they are not responsible for it.   Another possibility is that Trinity took it 
to try and get UCD in trouble (hey its possible..........)
