I think the bottom line is:   is it fair that an Irish athlete recieves 
funding, whether it be from the National Federation or the Sports Council, and 
then does not compete in Ireland at all, regardless of the comp? Track and 
Field stars might also train abroad but they do compete in Ireland in at least 
1 meet a year.    I'm not attacking S. Byrne, in fact i don't think anyone IS. 
We can argue and discuss the issue without it being said to be attacking said 
person.
