Dua askar kita yang terkorban di Somalia sebelum ini iaitu Staf Sarjan Azman dan Koperal Gani telah ditembak di bahagian muka. Peluru telah menembusi muka Staf Sarjan Azman di antara dua matanya, manakala muka Koperal Gani telah hancur.
Satu teori mengatakan Almarhum Noramfaizul telah ditembak oleh penembak tepat.
