Akhbar NST melaporkan satu keluarga nelayan telah mendapat dua kali bantuan RM500 BR1M. Walau bagaiamanpun pasangan keluarga tersebut Awangku Ludin Pengiran Jini dan isteri beliau Rainie Ali, telah memulangkan satu dari bantuan tersebut, kerana Awangku Ludin tidak menyedari sebelum ini isteri beliau juga telah mengisi borang permohonan BR1M tersebut, yang akhirnya kedua-dua permohonan telah diluluskan. Ini menunjukkan terdapat banyak kelemahan dalam pemprosesan permohonan BR1M dan pengagihan BR1M tersebut.
