Jane,
X-Press Updates were not a feature of Realsecure until the 5.0 and later
sensors. 3.2.x sensors will not be able to perform an XPU even though the
option is there, yet grayed out.
You _need_ to update your sensors.

Has anyone else had this problem? I wanted to update both a Network
Sensor (Solaris 7, Network Engine 3.2.1) and the RS console (Win2000,
RS5.0). However, when I select the sensor I want to update, the
Xpress Update option is grayed out. The console is definitely set as
the master controller, because I can stop and start the sensor and
update the policy. I can install RS 5.5 as the console, but it won't
let me make any policy changes because it says the sensor software is
too old.
Does this mean reinstalling the sensor from scratch?
Thanks, Jane
