Hi
I tried to set-up 2 event collectors in my environment. I hope to configure one of them as the active EC, another as a peer EC and inactive. The active EC will collect event sources frm 10 sensors (network & server sensors). I'm using RealSecure 6.0 with SQL 2000.
My problem is I couldn't configure this setting and the peer EC is reporting an error something like this - 'fail to properly load the engine'. At the moment, I stopped that EC and the other active EC is running fine. How do I go about setting this up? The article in ISS knowledgebase is not really helpful, though.
Another question is my EC resides on one server and the console and database on a separate server. Everytime I restarted the console, I have to restart the EC also. Why is that so? Any explanations.
