It is possible that you may have mistakenly put your key in either the root of the
ScannerConsole directory or perhaps the Keys directory (on the surface it does seem
the logical location) but in fact the key has to be placed in the
...\ScannerConsole\Licenses directory. Upon the next console start, the console
application will read that "name.key" file and convert it into a
RegisteredLicenses.issmasterlicense file and then move the original key file into the
...\ScannerConsole\Licenses\Archive directory. FYI, the key needs to be valid
including maintenance not being expired.

Hope this helps,

Subject: [ISSForum] Internet Scanner Upgrade from v6.2.1 to v7.0

Hello everyone,

Is it possible to upgrade from Internet Scanner v6.2.1 to v7.0 while keeping the same
license key? I've tried to upgrade using a correct key, yet v7.0 reports now key at
all. Is there a more detailed or troubleshooting guide? Is it supported? Any ideas?
