It happened to me when I tried to install using non-SP3 MS SQL 2000 Server. It also happened to me while I tried to install on a server that had both MS SQL 2000 Server with SP3 and IBM DB2 Workgroup Edition.

Are you running your MS SQL Server 2000 with SP3? Are you running more than 1 (one) instances of MS SQL 2000 Server on the Server? Are you running other Database Servers on the machine (OBM DB2, Oracle e.t.c.)?

Hope this helps.

Cheers,

Dimitris.

Subject: [ISSForum] Problem with Database installation

Dear Sir

I have problems with installation of the my Site Protector Database. When I put the credencials of the SQL Server I receive an autentication error.(log attach).

1- The password of "sa" user is correct !
2- There is connectivity !
3- They are in a same subnet !

What can be wrong ?
