You can also right-click the icon and select "RUNAS" and then login as administrator to run it. I think I may have had to set the ACLs on some of the files to make this work, I don't remember. When I start up this way, I get some warning messages about the security on the database files not being right. I dismiss the messages and tell the program NOT to reset the security. I do this from a computer that I use to scan from infrequently. The main scanner runs under a renamed administrator account fine. Note that this is on version 6.x. I haven't upgraded to 7 yet until I hear more feedback. :)

I found in the ISS Scanner documentation that we have to use administrator account in order to be able to scan a node. Could you please tell me, how I put the administrator username and password in a scanner machine (win2K pro), so that I scan any node (windows, unix, router, firewall, etc…).
