Hello Jeff,

I had exactly your scenery (sensor monitor ip address is on same subnet as
the SiteProtector server), but the ISS' problem was related to a Event
Collector crash, due to link problems.

In my particular case, the problem resided in the NIC. It was a Broadcom
NetXtreme 10/100/1000 Mbps on an IBM server. I installed the most updated
driver and set NIC's port and cisco switch's port to work at 100
Mbps/Full-duplex and my link problems disappeared. The Event Collector is
OK right now.

It seems that there is a problem with autosense functionality between NICs
that can reach 1000 Mbps and 10/100 switches. Cisco in my case.

I hope this help.

We are having same problems, and the sensor monitor ip address is on
same subnet as the SiteProtector server.

We've had the same issue, but shouldn't it time out (hopefully) before
bringing the entire system down? The second question is how would you
ever monitor this - we have a dozen or so sensors that are unavailable
at any given time. Hopefully SP 3 will cover this.

This usually happens when the Sensor Controller have repetitive problems
trying to connect to any remote sensor.

See Windows Event Viewer looking for ISS errors describing problems to
connect to sensors.

I hope this helps.

I was wondering if any one is experiencing this problem. I am running
SiteProtector 2.0 (SP 2.1) on windows 2000 server SP4 with all the
latest patches installed. I find that every now and then the CPU
utilization on this machine goes up to a 100% and stays at a hundred
percent until I stop SiteProtector and restart the machine or kill the
SpsenCtl.exe process which is the process using up CPU. I would greatly
appreciate any help that can be offered in this regard.

Kind regards
