If you want to create the table using the new method (no pre-existing Kudu
table), but you want drop table to drop only the external table metadata and
leave the external data intact, can you change external.table.purge to false?
Or, do you have to create the external Kudu table using
'kudu.table_name'='internal_kudu_name'?
Sorry to ask you this instead of experimenting–time crunch.
