[~erwindon]the message is only converted to core if you consume on a core or 
openwire client.

What I meant by Expiry was a name.. the expiry fields.. not as a verb as in 
during expiration.


Say you have expiry set for 5 minutes... your sender was an AMQP.

Then you receive on Core... now the message sits on the client buffer for 6 
minutes.


By the time the client actually receives the message it will not have elements 
to decide on the actual expiration.


I will rename the JIRA to make the field clearer.
