It seemed to me that in this case the mistake was completely accidental and
generally does not affect the functionality in any way; at worst, it might lead
to excessive memory consumption. And in such a case, any additional changes to
the class would likely do more harm than good. And if we decided to make
changes to the class, I think I would just get rid of one of the pools—it seems
unnecessary. So for now, I'll move this pull request to draft.
