Hi Chris,
There would be benefit to having the Camel ActiveMQ component extend SJMS but
that would be a longer term plan. I expect SJMS to be volatile for several
releases given one, this is its initial release and I expect to see bug and
enhancements as it becomes more mainstream and two, there are still a number of
improvements that need to happen (JTA Support, externalize the JMS Container,
etc).
If you need the ActiveMQ benefit and XA or JTA your only current options are
Camel ActiveMQ.
