Jussi Wallin commented on CAMEL-17713:
--------------------------------------

Yeah, my wording isn't good. Apologies if I've offended anyone. I was in a
hurry when I was writing that and didn't think of how it would be perceived. I
guess in my hurry I didn't think of going to the chat to ask first either. 🤦‍♂️

So I'm gathering that my only option is to implement this myself since there is
no guarantee it would get backported to 3.11.x.

I was thinking about offering to do this myself, but was hesitant to do that
since I haven't done any development for open source projects before.

If I were to try doing this myself, could I directly do the implementations for
all those versions myself at once, or is there some procedure for getting this
accepted for the LTS versions? I don't have the liberty to choose which version
of Camel is used in the project. Which of course means that it would need to be
included in 3.11.x, so I could eventually use the official component.

> The documentation for aws2-s3 says that the component supports S3 custom
> metadata headers. After looking at the code it is definitely *not*
> implemented. I absolutely need this functionality.
> We are currently on 3.11.3 so I used that for the ticket but this does affect
> all 3.11.X versions.
> I know this is a feature that was available with the SDK v1 version.
