This is scheduled to be included soon, but the interface may be modified. It
has not been reviewed yet.
The issue has been linked to existing ones (MATH-177 and MATH-196) also
concerning minimization. The existing packages (estimation and optimization)
are intended to be redesigned for a cleaner organization, simpler API and
extended features.
I intend to start discussing about it on the publicly available developers list
shared by all Apache commons components in the next few days. Feel free to
contribute to the discussion and make sure your needs are addressed.
