"live-pulling" would be defined like you already interpreted it: The testcase
will in it's initialisation connect to the URL and retrieve the up-to-date JSON
definition of HTML5 named character entities as published by the whatwg. And I
do share your concerns on potential impact of internet hiccups, which is why I
would like to raise it up-front before building such a testcase.
While that would allow for checking the completeness of the (un)escaping
against the up-to-date iteration of HTML5, which after all was defined as a
'living' standard, it does introduce potential test-failure due to internet
hiccups.
