Several customized (component) logos did not contain the word "Apache".
I certainly believe that it should not be introduced now as it would be quite
hypocritical (we all know that the real trouble was with that word, not the
feather).

The "Commons" logo should be along the one proposed by Gary, currently at the
top left of the ["Commons"|https://commons.apache.org] page. There is
nevertheless room for improvement, IMHO, with the relative positioning and size
of the graphical elements:
* "the" is too thin,
* "ASF" is too thick, too large and too far to the right,
* "Commons" is too close to the leaf and to "ASF".
In order to gradually upgrade the logos (by those willing to do it), could you
please provide separate graphic files for
* "the" (official font and color)
* "ASF" (official font and color)
* the oak leaf
* "commons" (with a small "c") with a horizontal range of colors identical to
that of the leaf
* "Commons" (with a large "C") with a horizontal range of colors identical to
that of the leaf
