Hello @oscerd This PR can break existing applications by throwing `IllegalArgumentException` when no exception is currently thrown. Is this intentional? Whether it is or not , this needs to be documented and tested. Rebase on git master and see `DefaultParserTest.testPropertiesPreserveExistingOptionValue()`.
