Review comment:
       Using `coerce` will drop the build number, and while I'm not using it in 
this PR... I think it's something that could be used. 
[Someone](https://github.com/apache/cordova-android/issues/1078#issuecomment-717944583)
 had a problem that was caused by using a really old version of java 1.8. Of 
course if we wanted to add a constraint on the build number, we'd should fine 
what would be the minimal acceptable number and that could be difficult to 
do... Thoughts?
