I've figured out it is because I'm calling statusbar.styleXXXXX() which result
in the statusbar view size to be recalc'd which is the problem. When I take out
the code/lines that call statusbar.styleXXXXX() the view stays the same size
as you would see in your tests. Just add a button with a call to change the
statusbar style type...
