Bharath Gowda commented on FINERACT-1948:
-----------------------------------------

[~ikimbrah]  from what I understand, if we are looking into this
 # to distinguish between the actual withdrawal and loan repayment
 #  to support during the dispute cases

both are already available with the withdrawal function itself as at the
back-end, the withdrawal is linked to the loan repayment and from the UI - if
you click on the withdrawal it shows all the loan details to which amount is
transferred to.

So I really do not see any business use case or a change in the scenario to
introduce a new transaction type all together.

That is my opinion . but we can always take rest of the community opinion by
voting on the mailing list and then decide

> Loan repayment by account transfer transaction type should not be withdrawal

> When a user transfers money from a savings account to pay off a loan, the
> transaction type is tagged as a withdrawal yet this is a loan repayment. The
> transaction type should be adjusted to suit the transaction as it gets handy
> for repayments with standing instructions.
