Colin Childs commented on FLEX-33166:
-------------------------------------

I did some testing on my iPhone 5S and ran into a couple issues:

When tapping around between several TextInputs, occasionally the keyboard would
start to raise then immediately lower again. Often when this would happen, the
TextInput had gained focus with a border and carat, but when the keyboard
lowered, the proxy image would use the image of the focused field. This gave
the impression that the field was focused, when really it was not and the carat
had stopped blinking, because it was now an image. You could then tap on a
second TextInput and it appeared as though both were focused at the same time.
After playing around with this a bit, I was able to consistently reproduce this
issue when tapping very close to the edge of the TextInput. If you are having
trouble with this, try tapping slowly and repeatedly above the input, moving
your finger incrementally downward toward the border. During normal use, this
would happen to me at least 1 out of every 10 taps into a TextInput.

Another issue I noticed was with TextInputs in a Scroller with enough content
to scroll down a couple times. As mentioned above, swiping on a TextInput does
not move the scroller up, which to me is not a big issue. However, when
scrolling down the page, I accidentally touched a TextInput during one of my
swipes. The TextInput still gained focus and the blinking carat appeared on the
screen but the scroller continued to scroll down the page. This enabled me to
type floating text above my other content. I was able to reproduce this a
couple times and I am pretty sure it is related to the other issue I mentioned.
I think it only happens when the swipe starts near the border of the TextInput.

> We should be able to configure a text field which only accepts numerical
> input to call up the numeric pad. However, the skinclasses for the textfield
> that can call up the number pad will not scroll--If you try to use the
> skinclass that can call the softkey number pad in a scrollable container, the
> textfield scrolls away from its text.
