Density independent pixels (which is a combination of physical size and pixels)
is usually what is used (in my experience anyway) e.g. > 600dp for a 7" tablet
and > 720dp for a 10" tablet - but it's not perfect. Also scale independent
pixel for text woful be nice to support.
I think this is a good idea just be a little careful with any assumptions you
make.
