@wuchong Totally — this fix would really only be necessary in the interim and for any users relying on earlier releases of Flink, who may/may not be ready to upgrade. IMO, I don’t think it’s likely that this would be severe enough on the Flink side to warrant a back port to earlier versions. I’d be okay with the Fluss stance being “upgrade to a later version of Flink since this was more of a Flink issue than Fluss”.
